First I am a fan who knows what they like but maybe not why. I am playing with this site because I can and I don't see any other sites that are just about Lake Street Dive (LSD, for Lake Street Dive, not drive).
I won a free pair of tickets to some band playing at the Colonial Theater in Bethlehem NH. It took about 3 YouTube videos of research to realize it was SOME band and start my obsession. A little shy, I bought the CDs they had for sale from MikeC who was showing a volunteer what to do. Shared with him that I was a Peace Corp Volunteer, for a time a roadie for a band that played rock and roll plus Somali love songs. I told him my main job was to run the generator. That was the night the power went out and LSD had us gather round the campfire for some real acoustic. Wow. The hook was set.
They have a web site, facebook, twitter, instagram and maybe other social media accounts. Their Wikipedia page redirected to Rachael Price and went back to 2007. Fixed that and it was fun getting back into the world of wiki. As my obsession grew, I was tired of using box.com to store my files of links and interesting tidbits. I created a free Weebly page years ago, so I why not create another free website except sort of messy, jazzy, funky, not trying to be too polished and see where that goes.
Then there is the world of trademarks and copyrights and the internet. Most of the images you see come from lakestreetdive.com and their gallery of photos. I am using collages because anything I put in them, do not feature any one person's work. In my mind they are my works of art. If I am wrong, let me know.
Revisited this page after over a year. Still obsessed, now seen them in 3 concerts. I have a Google Drive with over 270 YouTube videos of LSD. On that drive, with help from friends, we publish a list of every event that LSD has played, plus various statistical summaries on another page.
